Is it possible for the previous content of the forums to accessed form the new site somehow?
I assume a straight import is not possible or it would already have been done. Is there a copy of the data available somewhere?

No.

No, not in accessible form, anyway.
Are you looking for something specific from the old site?

Nothing specific. I was just wondering what effect losing that content would have on the number of hits the new site might receive.
Out of curiosity, what form is the data in?

The former site had more content, but the forums didn't see much activity. Content will be re-added onto this site, so in the end, it will all work out. It's a matter of priorities, as far as I am concerned. If site users become active on the forums, then I think that the number of meaningful hits will gradually increase. Not all site hits are meaningful, so sheer number of hits is largely meaningless, to me.

MySQL database format.
If we can get a text based dump of the previous content I'm happy to put some effort into getting it added back here.
Of course we could cherry pick only the best/longest threads and especially those focused on turn based gaming.

The next time that I load the old database in my web browser, I'll see about saving some of the old material for you to sort through and to reformat. The main problem is to break the info into paragraphs, since each review is now lumped into masses of text.

Nah. There's no reason that, in time, we can't reclaim all 154 of the reviews posted on the old site.
Smurphboogie,
I have e-mailed you regarding this matter. A file is attached to my e-mail.
