Know this is mentioned on briefly on another thread but thoughtit worthy of it's own as I know the GM is looking for active players.
New Fantasy Adventure PBEM, still in it's very early days (only started at beginning of January), first 4 turns are free, then $2.5 per turn (max 1 turn per character per week).
Have a look at the
World of Lagas website, have a look at the sample results and give it a go for 4 turns.
Even at this early stage, being one of the first adventurers to land on the island, I'm becoming hooked and look forward to each turn with building anticipation.
Oh and if you want a flavour of my first few turns have a look at my blog at

I find that incredibly lame. It must be Flagships fault for the game not taking off they only "sent" us two players!
It couldn't possibly be because the games content didn't generate enough curiosity to bring in new players from established games.
I stopped reading and caring after the first paragraph if all they can do is blame everyone else but themselves.

I did not read that as them placing "blame". It sounds like English is not their native language and the choice of words imply something that they did not intend.
That's just my opinion.
If a business model is predicting x number of players from advertising in a specific magazine and those numbers are not met, it is not unusual for a project to be shut down if it is not sustainable.
Now, why they choose to advertise the game for sale just after telling us that they could not get enough players for them to make a go of it is a totally different issue! LOL!

Probably so.

Assuming that a business model existed in the first place. How long did the advertising campaign extend, and how long should an advertising campaign extend in a magazine that is published bi-monthly? I do not know what their particular business model was, in the case of World of Lagas.

Indeed. That aside, I had visited the site during the visit that I learned about their decision to suspend the project and to offer it for sale, intending to browse their site for some game related images to promote their game on the front page of the site here with. I considered their posting on their site about selling the game/project to be news, and posted in the thread here about it, accordingly. It may not be good news, but it is news, nonetheless.
