I perfer face to face table top RPGing myself, and have played War Games, D&D now for over 32+ yrs(I'm 43 now). I have also played many PBM / PBEM games as well to, but in those I have always gotten involved and interacted with others via phone, snail mail, email, ICQ(and other messengers) too. Currently my systems of choise have changed in that I use to collect and play D&D v3.5 d20 system but have decided with the up and comming release of D&D v4 I am converting to Hero Systems v5. I have always collected Hero's systems (have collected since v2 of Champions), and have decided to convert my D&D campaign to Fantasy Hero, Gamma World d20 to PA Hero, and Traveller to Traveller Hero. All three campaigns genres now using one system that I both know and like extremely much. One should check out the 2nd largest game system and one that is almost as old as D&D itself at:

Shalom,
I prefer multiplayer games such as LGDR by Agema Games, and other multiplayer games such as Battleground's Combat Mission series!

Like Penn I prefer tabletop RPGs.I started when I was 17(now 47)with Traveller which rarely get to play now.
My first fanasty RPG was Runequest 2ed.I didn't start playing D&D until my mid twenties.
I currently play D&d 3.5 with a group of 6-8 players every 4-6 weeks.Most of us are in our mid forties and have just recently started playing 3.5 ed.When we heard that 4 ed was coming out we decided we would not be drawn into buying that as we feel it's a rip off.
WOTC said that 3ed would streamline the game as 2ed became to unwieldly.So we paid out money to buy the system,then a couple of years later 3.5 came out so we said fair enough and bought that.Now we have 4 ed.We aren't going to fall for that(plus we're getting to old to start with a new system
)
Some of the group also meet Friday evenings for a couple of hours to play other systems.Currently it's Serenity and after that I'll be running the Great Pendragon Campaign.
And of course there's my PBeM habit.Been playing various games since 79!

Shalom Ted......
I still have the three tan books from D&D (1st ed.), wrapped in plastic bags, we used my Sung Dynasty 25mm figs as Orcs!! And, we had a wonderful time playing. I never played Travellor, but once gamed Chivalry and Sorcery quite heavily....I still have my 1st edition copy (though quite dog eared)!
Presently the group I game with is beginning an ECW campaign with some RPGing in it, mostly college students from the university across the street. We also have a half dozen females in the group, and, they are most excellent gamers, taking their gaming very seriously..
