Hello everyone,
I think that cost is a issue for many folks, that aren't fully sold on PBM / PBEM hobby. Yes they don't realize how it can add up and some are just shocked by it and just drop it without seeing if it is really what they wanted and can have fun with them. Although I always felt that those games that gave a beginning player some game dollars so they get to run some turns first to get the feel / flavor of the game seem to retain more players. I believe that is the case but I could be all wrong to.
